GTE Elba Island

GTE Elba Island

A journey on foot along the most suggestive street on the Elba Island, the GTE is a route for mountain enthusiasts and lovers of breathtaking views. A trek that runs along what is defined as the westernmost front of the Apennines. Mountains of iron and granite to be discovered, pretty villages suspended between sky and sea, and the blue that dominates everything. The Grande Traversata Elbana (GTE) is a unique experience that allows the traveler to discover the island, its nature and its history through the slowness of the walker. A few suggestive detours along the way will allow us to admire the places of stories and legends of the island, where the sacred songs and dances of the ancestors still resound. Various stages will allow you to travel across the entire Elba Island through the GTE in 3 or 4 days.
